Helen has educational background and experience doing business in Puerto Rico, Latin America and the USA. She has a Master Degree in Business Administration from the Inter-American University (Puerto Rico) and a second Master Degree in Education with a major in Administration and Supervision from University of Phoenix. She completed her undergraduate degree in Southern New Hampshire University obtaining a Bachelor in Science with a concentration in Marketing and a minor Physical Education for the Handicapped. She has 20 years of work experience in Business and 10 Yrs in the field of education. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Dr. Kavita Arora, Ph.D., MS, OTR/L, MS PT: Kavita has been an occupational therapist since 1981 and a physical therapist since 2003. She brings years of experience of working with Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics patients. She has worked with clients of all diagnoses: Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinsonism, Muscular Dystrophies, Low Muscle Tone, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Hand Injuries, Pre and Post Surgical Clients. She is a firm believer in the use of holistic approach when working with clients of all ages and diagnoses. Her Certifications include - Vestibular Rehab, Sensory Integration and Praxis Test Administration and Interpretation, Sensory Processing Disorders, Yoga Instructor for children and adults , Therapeutic Listening, Provider for Astronaut Training, Provider for Interactive Metronome, Management of Feeding Disorders in Children
Vibhakar, MSc.PT, DPT: Vibhakar has worked in the field of Physical Therapy since 1989 and has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He has extensive experience in the management of people with orthopedic and neurological conditions of all ages. He is trained in the use of McKenzie treatment method of Lumbar and Cervical disc lesions. He also has expertise in the evaluation and management of complex cases with multiple diagnoses, need for adaptive equipment, prosthetic and orthotic training across pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
Ms. Bethany Rubinstein, M.S., CCC-SLP: Bethany earned her Bachelors of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Old Dominion University in 2003 and her Masters of Science in Communication Disorders from Florida State University in 2006. Bethany’s past work experience includes speech and language therapy and utilizing the parent coaching model through Infant and Toddler Connection. Bethany provided treatment to infant & adults with disorders in the areas of speech and/or language, specifically targeting articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, processing deficits and pragmatic language disorders. Bethany has also provided early intervention services in the area of pediatric feeding. Bethany holds certificates in PROMPT and SOS Feeding Therapy.
Vanessa M. Lagera DPT: Vanessa graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Philippines. She has Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has about 20 years of experience in general outpatient orthopedics. She enjoys working with her patients and helping them get better. When she is not working or studying for school, she loves being around her family, traveling and volunteering her time with local organizations
Michael Defosse OTR/L: Michael has over 12 years of experience in various settings in health care - including acute care hospitals, long-term acute care settings, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living settings and outpatients settings. He has experience working with patients with a variety of medical conditions and diseases, including CVA's and neurological disorders, cardiovascular disorders/diseases, neuro-muscular conditions/diseases, cognitive disorders as well as orthopedic conditions. He has worked with various populations from 3 to 103 Yrs of age. Michael grew up in a military family that moved frequently around the world. In his working professional life, Michael has also lived all over the country. In his free time Michael enjoys traveling, cooking and exercising.
Tai Gorecke, MS, CF-SLP: Tai has Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oklahoma State University and her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. Tai has experience working with adults who have had strokes, traumatic brain injuries, oral/laryngeal cancer, and dementia. She also has experience working with pediatric populations with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, articulation delays, Down syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities and Cru di Chat Syndrome. She has experience in private practice, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She has proved instrumental to helping those with apraxia of speech, aphasia, memory loss, voice difficulties, dysarthria, fluency disorders, and swallowing difficulties to regain their skills. Tai believes in a client-centered approach to develop individualized treatment plans. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech therapy in the state of Virginia.
