Fairfax, Jan 14 2007: the Fairfax PD (Parkinson's Disease) Support Group is pleased this month, to have speaking to us in our first hour, Jessica To, PT, DPT. She is a physical therapist specializing in neurological disorders.
She will be sharing with us how physical therapy can be beneficial to those with PD and also discussing local resources in our area.

From 495 take I-66 West to Route 123 towards
From Route 123 and Braddock Rd: go north on Route 123, turn right at University, go through stoplight and bear left, turn right on Forest, turn right on Sideburn, road ends at school.
For best access, park in the gravel lot at the end of the road/building.
Enter through the main entrance and we are in Room 116.

We were participating in the Super H 5K Run, Walk & Wheel at Tyson’s Sports & Health in McLean
The Super H 5K Run, Walk, Wheel proceeds go to Blaze Sports America, which is a sports program offering adapted sports activities, expert coaching and special equipment free of charge, to both children and adults with physical disabilities.

We welcomed visitors at our table at the Kicking For Kids Who Can't kick-a-thon, which took place on the National Mall. (http://www.KickingForKidsWhoCant.org).
Kicking For Kids Who Can't is an event that will raise money to benefit the Limbs For Life Foundation a Non-Profit 501(c)(3), which provides prosthetic limbs for everyone who cannot afford them.
Anyone can kick, and they can kick in pretty much any way they want. They'll have kickball kickers, soccer kickers, and karate kickers, and if someone can think of another kick, they'll let them do that too.
