Technology

At Body Kinetics Rehab, patients have access to the most technologically advanced equipment. We are one of the only outpatient facilities in the area where patients can find these being used as part of their treatment programs. The equipment patients get to use at our facility, are normally only found in hospital settings.

The Bioness L300 (Functional Electrical Stimulation) is a device that we use as part of our rehabilitation treatment, for patients recovering from neurological disorders, so they can lead more independent and productive lives.
We are one of the only non-hospital Out patient Clinics in the area that uses this latest technology for patients with Foot Drop.

The RT300 is one of the most advanced Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) bikes available today.

FES facilitates muscular contractions in paralyzed muscles. The RT300 delivers electrical currents to activate the quadriceps, hamstring and gluteal muscles. These electrical stimulations enable paralyzed legs to move through a regular patterned physical activity. Patients at Body kinetics Rehab work with FES in the treatment of neurological damage.

Allows the patient to stand, and strengthen their arm and legs.

Our facility is equipped with parallel bars for those patients who need extra stability as they work on regaining their function and strength.

What makes Body Kinetics Rehab different than every other PT clinic?

Love. We love what we do. And it shows, in how we treat our patients, and the results they see. It shows in how we advocate for our patients, thinking up solutions that they might never have been offered at other places, coordinating the efforts to see these solutions performed, by working with their Doctors, Prosthetists, Orthotists, etc.

All of your treatment sessions are provided by a licensed physical therapist. You don’t spend most of your time by yourself on machine, left to do treatment exercises by your self. We go above and beyond for our patients and are very motivated to see that you are satisfied with your care. We look at all aspects of your life that influence your health challenges. We maintain an open communication relationship with your doctor to ensure comprehensive care.

Our premise at Body Kinetics Rehab is that you should truly feel and see that your individual needs as a patient come first.

We provide very attentive care, ask questions to find out and pursue all the available routes for getting you as completely rehabilitated as is possible, and just drive ourselves almost nuts , brain-storming and creatively problem-solving, so YOU achieve your rehab goals.

How long are my sessions?

3600 seconds with the same Physical Therapist
When it comes to your health, time is of the essence.

Long ago, in a not-so-far-away place, we decided that when you receive treatment at Body Kinetics Rehab, you should get a lengthy 60 minutes! entirely with the same Physical Therapist (no aides treat patients here).

There's only one YOU. So when YOU come to see us, why should we double-up patients, and see several others (along with YOU) at the same time?
We didn't think so either.
Thus one-on-one care the whole length of your appointment - always.

You will be with a physical therapist for 60 minutes every time you are here and receive one-on-one therapy each time. We value quality of care for our patients so we make sure our patients get all the time they need when they receive physical therapy services from us.
We do not believe in seeing multiple patients at one time as that will affect their progress in achieving their goals. We do not have Aides treat our patients so you will always be with a physical therapist, every visit.

Care

Will I be with the same therapist every time I come?

a. Yes, with the exception of when your therapist goes on vacation. When on vacation your therapist will leave details of your treatment plan for the covering therapist to see you.

Will insurance cover my visit with Body Kinetics Rehab?

Yes, insurance generally pays for physical therapy visits, but everyone’s coverage differs. So be sure to call our office (703-639-0950) and we can assist you in finding out what your insurance coverage is – and verify your physical therapy benefits to fully understand your available benefits. We also encourage you to call your insurance and ask for details about your benefits. As a courtesy to our patients we will handle all your insurance billing and will try our best to answer any questions you may have about your coverage.

Do I need a prescription from a doctor?

Yes, you will need a prescription for physical therapy services and for services to be covered by your insurance plan.
