My name is Maya Ramos-Allen and I was born in Falls Church, Virginia.
I grew up in Annandale, VA and went to Old Dominion University for college. There, I received my B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
I started out at Body Kinetics Rehab in February 2010, as a volunteer shadowing and observing the physical therapists. Before coming to Body Kinetics Rehab i was considering different medical fields such as optometry and pharmacy, but did not find any of these career paths to suit me or excite me.
Since beginning to observe at Body Kinetics Rehab, I have been excited to move forward in the direction of physical therapy myself. I am currently in the application process for several physical therapy schools in Virginia and a couple out-of-state schools as well.
In my spare time, when I am not preparing for graduate schools I like to enjoy one of my several hobbies. I love to play soccer; I play pick-up soccer games and also play in the annual soccer sand tournament held in Virginia Beach.
My hobbies also include drawing and painting, video gaming, watching cartoons, cooking my favorite foods, and of course taking care of my 2-year old German Shepher, Collie mix dog.
