Jennifer Willey
Jennifer Willey, PT, MPT, CLT-LANA received her B.A. in Biology from Drake University in 1994 and her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 1996. She has practiced physical therapy for 14 years primarily in the outpatient setting seeing patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses, amputation, cancer, lymphedema, and pediatrics. She has also maintained her skills in the acute care (hospital) setting. Jennifer likes to keep current with all areas of PT, but specializes in lymphedema therapy and vestibular rehabilitation. She became a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) in 1998 and achieved additional certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) in 2003. In 2010, she successfully completed the APTA Vestibular Competency Course to become certified in vestibular rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the APTA Oncology and Neurology sections, and Vestibular Rehabilitation and Lymphedema special interest groups. Jennifer is also member of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) and the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA). She has done several educational presentations on vestibular rehab, imbalance, falls risk reduction, breast cancer rehab, and lymphedema therapy to medical professionals and patient support groups. Jennifer has co-facilitated a lymphedema support group through Life With Cancer for several years and assists with teaching a Life With Cancer breast cancer pre-op class. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in the outdoors, volunteering with her children’s school PTA and Scout troops, taking Zumba and Step classes, running, knitting, and reading.
